NEW LAYOUT FOR LIWSF ARENA

Published:  23 July, 2008

Brintex, organisers of the London International Wine & Spirits Fair (LIWSF), has developed an Agents Arena' for the May event. The shell-scheme, located between two key entrances, groups together smaller UK agents, providing a bridge business between visitors from the British wholesale, retail and on-trade sector and bespoke agency exhibitors'. According to Brintex, the LIWSF has doubled in size over the last six years. The majority of this increase comes from generic pavilions and big brands, which in the past have sometimes overshadowed the smaller exhibitor. We want to support those UK agents who perhaps feel that the show has outgrown them, while at the same time facilitating buyer needs,' said Brintex sales director Jo Smith. The scale of the show is such that we can now isolate elements of it according to visitor requirements, which will cut down on time spent travelling between stands.' Companies already signed up include Mayfair Cellars, Rodney Densem, Birchwood Agencies and Stevens Garnier, one of the instigators of the arena.
