Published:  23 July, 2008

The value of Australian wine exports grew faster than the volumes produced in 2007.

Significantly, the UK remains the biggest market for Australian wine exports with 290m litres of volume - valued at $985m - sent to this market.

The strong value growth seen in exports was driven by a 3% increase in the average price of Australian wine to $3.83 per litre.

Australia's total wine exports in 2007 were worth $3004.3m.
