Significantly, the UK remains the biggest market for Australian wine exports with 290m litres of volume - valued at $985m - sent to this market.
The strong value growth seen in exports was driven by a 3% increase in the average price of Australian wine to $3.83 per litre.
Australia's total wine exports in 2007 were worth $3004.3m.
