Provence Wines sets up dedicated UK office
In a bid to develop its UK market presence, Provence Wines has opened a London office.
Hosted by Emma Wellings, the new office will focus on the three regions of Ctes de Provence, Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence and Coteaux Varois en Provence.
The expansion was decided following research by Wine Intelligence in early 2007, which weighed up the best five-year strategy plan for the sales of Ros wines in the UK.
Provence Wines plans to double sales of Ros brands in the UK in the next three to four years.
Nathalie Chassard, from Provence Wines, said the region's specialisation in this style of wine meant it was well placed to succeed.
"With our aromatic, dry and world cuisine friendly wines we believe we are well-placed to occupy the position of premium Ros of choice in the UK," she added.
Provence Wines (the CIVP) was formed in 2004 and represents 640 producers, 66 ngociants and 95% of the volume produced by the entire Provence AOC region.
