Published:  23 July, 2008

Cava house Codornu has revealed its plans for the UK for 2007.

It has just sealed a deal with supermarket Morrisons to sell its Teresa sparkling ros, and is looking for further listings.

Joanne McLean, UK marketing manager for Codornu, said: "We've still got distribution gaps to fill and I'd love to work with Waitrose."

She revealed a new advertising campaign will be unveiled at Christmas and it will participate in the Taste events throughout the year.

In 2006, cava sales represented 55% of the UK sparkling market.

According to AC Nielsen data (March 24 2007) the category grew by 7.7% by volume to 2.3 million cases, and was worth 125m.
