PERNOD RICARD - NEW AGREEMENTS

Published:  23 July, 2008

........ with Polish Government and Polmos Bialystok

Pernod Ricard has signed an agreement with the Polish Government that gives it 80% of the capital of Polmos Poznan for 300 million zlotys (approximately EUR82 million). Pernod Ricard will, over the next two years, inject 29 million zlotys (approximately EUR8 million) into the company. This will primarily fund a five-year production investment programme. Polmos Poznan produces Premium, Lodowa and Wyborowa vodkas, which will join Pernod Ricard's portfolio. Additionally, Pernod Ricard has just signed an agreement with Polmos Bialystok covering the distribution of Zubrowka, a well-established Polish bison grass "wodka". With the acquisitions of Wyborowa and part of Seagram's spirits and wine businesses, Pernod Ricard will become one of the world's top three operators in the spirits and wine sector, with a five-fold increase in US volume.
