Beefsteak Club launches new Salmon Club partner

Published:  17 April, 2019

Wine importer Ehrmanns is gearing up to launch a white partner to act as a sister brand to its popular Beefsteak Club.

The first in the new range, the Salmon Club New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, will be available to taste in the UK for the first time at next month’s London Wine Fair, having been launched into the Russian market in February 2019.

It will act as a sister brand to the original Beefsteak Club range, which made the connection between Argentina’s flagship wine and its signature dish.

The Beefsteak Club is established in the UK and exported to over 30 countries worldwide.

Visitors will get a first taste of the new wine at this year’s London Wine Fair, where the London-based importer is also due to launch a sparkling Malbec rosé.

The sparkler is in prototype stage, but has already received some interest from the export market, Ehrmanns said.

Ehrmanns will also be exhibiting the Art of Wine series, which pairs wines with world-famous pieces of art.

This range includes Hokusai’s ‘The Great Wave’ DO Aconcagua Sauvignon Blanc, Mondrian’s ‘Composition II’ Mendoza Malbec and Gustav Klimt’s ‘The Kiss’ Brut from Italy. There are plans for more wines and paintings in the pipeline, it revealed.

Ehrmanns said it would also unveil a number of range extensions to its Spanish wine Carta Roja including an Organic Tempranillo and single varietal Garnacha.

It will also be exhibiting Spanish rosé Rosa de Azafran, Sardine Submarine Tinto from Portugal, as well as its Coffee House Pinotage from South Africa.

A bespoke label service will also be on show at the fair, which allows customers to mix and match a variety of designs, brand names and wines.

On its stand in the Trading Quarter, the company will also show several wines from agency partners, many of which are on exclusive distribution.

The London Wine Fair takes place at Olympia on 20-22 May 2019.
