Woodwinters hires Sara Bachiorri as it targets further UK expansion
Woodwinters has appointed Sara Bachiorri as a key account manager in its London on and off-trade sales division as part of its UK expansion plans.
Bachiorri worked for the Nigel Platts-Martin restaurant group from 2009 to 2017, rising to head sommelier at Chez Bruce. Her most recent position was at a specialist distributor of Italian wine in London.
“We are delighted Sara has decided to join us,” said Andrew Johnson, Woodwinters’s managing director of London operations. “Finding people with the right skills set is never easy, but she has the perfect balance of wine knowledge, professionalism and standing within the wine community.”
Woodwinters opened its London office in July 2017 as part of an expansion plan to service the rest of the UK and shift its emphasis towards being a true agency house. Since then it has added over 30 exclusive new agencies from around the world with specific emphasis on Italy, South Africa, Australia, California and Greece.
