Champagne Castelnau has strengthened its marketing team with the appointment Olivier Legrand.

Joining the business with immediate effect as its new marketing and communications director, Legrand will be responsible for building brand awareness for Champagne Castelnau, especially in export markets, and for developing a strong marketing programme.

In addition, he will play an important role in the opening in 2020 of the brand’s new home in Reims, Villa Castelnau - an ambitious project launched last year when Champagne Castelnau bought the historic Villa Tassigny.

Legrand’s previous experience includes senior marketing roles at Inter Rhône and Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte He also has a master’s degree in International Wine & Spirits Business from Burgundy Business School.

With his vast experience, Legrand was a perfect fit for the “dynamic Castelnau team”, said managing director Pascal Prudhomme.

“He brings exactly the right experience and approach to the role, and will play a pivotable part in our goal to sell more than a million bottles in 2020,” he said.

Located in the heart of Reims, Champagne Castelnau’s grape growers own almost 900 hectares of vineyards spread across 141 different crus.
