Gosset winners

Published:  23 July, 2008

A privately owned country pub and a fish restaurant have beaten off some of the UK's finest dining establishments
to win the Trophe Gosset Celebris for the best Champagne lists in the UK.

The Bell at Skenfrith, an inn in Monmouthshire, walked off with the Provincial prize, while Fishmarket Restaurant took the Capital prize.

Beatrice Cointreau, CEO of Champagne Gosset, said there 'was still evidence of "shocking greedy pricing"' among some entrants, which 'does little to encourage the uninitiated to

try Champagne'.
