Artadi joins Pol Roger

Published:  25 October, 2018

Pol Roger Portfolio has announced it will be distributing the wines of Spanish producer Bodegas Artadi, bringing the full range to the UK from November 1.

The agency behind Pol Roger Champagne has a number of family owned producers on its books, including Joseph Drouhin, Domaine Josmeyer, Robert Sinskey Vineyards and Crown Estates as well as two single malts: Glenfarclas and Kilchoman.

Artadi, which dates back to 1981, today owns 65 hectares of vineyard in their original site of Álava, in Laguardia.

It has also grown to include estates Artazu in Navarra, and Pinoso in Alicante, which it added in 1996 and 1999 respectively.

“The Artadi family…represent the very best of modern Spain with a perfect combination of low yielding old vineyards and indigenous grape varieties together with serious considered winemaking,” James Simpson MW, managing director of Pol Roger Portfolio said.

“Family is also key to the development of Pol Roger Portfolio, hence it is particularly pleasing to find an established family producer to join the impeccable range of family owned wine and spirits producers we already represent.”

As exclusive agents for Artadi, the full range of wines will be available via Pol Roger.

These include a pair of Artadi’s Alava Single Vineyard Wines from the Valdegines and El Carretil plots.

Two wines from Artadi El Seque in Alicante and another two from Navarra will also be available to trade customers.
