Bibendum to supply Market Halls’ pop-up venture

Published:  21 June, 2018

Bibendum has teamed up with Market Halls to supply the company’s new pop-up venture in Fulham.

Located in the original London Underground ticket office booths the pop-up bar, which compliments Market Hall Fulham’s existing bar, will serve up wines and spirits from Bibendum.

In developing the wine offer for the new project, Bibendum said it had focused on Market Halls’ “demand-driven requirements – keeping it simple but interesting."

“Ultimately, it’s about quality and great value for money, including both classic styles and more quirky options. Rather than going down the Champagne and Prosecco route, we’ve opted for English sparkling wine and Pignoletto, with Ridgeview and Cavicchioli,” said business development manager Paul Brown.

In addition, Bibendum had included whites like the Bodegas Castro Martin Albariño and Journey’s End Weather Station Sauvignon Blanc, while reds range from the Oscuro Malbec to Some Young Punks Shiraz, he added.

The pop-up, which will operate as a juice bar by day, will also feature a rotating cocktail menu by night comprising ten different gins and four varieties of Negroni.

The new initiative comes as Market Halls gears up to open its second site in Victoria in September, which will followed by a third site due to open near around Oxford Circus in the autumn.

Market Halls, a group of UK-based, property investors and restaurateurs, was launched earlier this year in a bid to redefining the British concept of food halls and turning unloved public spaces with special architectural or historic interest, public again.

In addition to the London sites, “numerous” regional launches were planned for 2018, said Market Halls.
