Gonzalez Byass turns focus on Champagne Deutz

Published:  19 June, 2018

Gonzalez Byass has turned the focus on Champagne Deutz with a summer push to promote the premium French fizz.

Throughout the summer and into the autumn, Gonzalez Byass is running a series of exclusive offers and listings in hotspots across London, including the Cannaught Hotel, the American Bar at The Savoy, the Red Bar at the Grosvenor and the Rivoli Bar & Restaurant at the Ritz.

Although one of the original Grands Marques, Champagne Deutz - made from the Pinot Noir vineyards of Ay - is “relatively unknown in the UK, said Gonzales Byass, adding it had made “great strides” in addressing this since it took over the agency three years ago.

“Deutz has an enviable reputation in the on-trade, and an impressive range of wines. Now we have been able to put together a series of opportunities for discerning consumers to taste them and discover Deutz for themselves,” said senior brand manager Ben Wyse.

With Champagne Deutz already the personal favourite of many of London’s top sommeliers, the aim of the campaign was to encourage consumer trial and build brand loyalty, he added.

In addition to the Central London activity, in the City, Deutz has just been named the exclusive Champagne at Ekte Nordic Kitchen while north across Regents Park in Primrose Hill, the recently-opened La Ferme has a Champagne Bar totally dedicated to Deutz, serving up Brut Classic or Rose NV by the glass, or Vintage 2012, William Deutz 2002 or Amour de Deutz 2005 by the bottle.
