Berry Brothers & Rudd: Regional Account Manager (Midlands East Anglia)

Berry Bros. & Rudd is recruiting a Regional Account Manager to join our FMV Sales team. The role will be based at home with travel to our London Offices, Customers and Suppliers as required by the nature and scope of the role.

About our FMV team:

  • Fields, Morris & Verdin is an Agency/Wholesale wine importer.  FMV currently ships from over 100 producers on an exclusive basis and sells directly to the UK trade (both retail and restaurant).  Alongside BB&R Wholesale, FMV forms On and Off Trade sector or BB&R Ltd.
  • FMV and BBR Wholesale distribute wine and spirits nationwide to both on (restaurant) and off (retail) trade customers

The role involves:

  • Developing a strategy for regional agency distribution and sales of the FMV portfolio.
  • Meeting and exceeding pre- agreed commercial targets for the region including new business and growth in existing business
  • Developing new business in the region compatible with the demands of the FMV Agency portfolio
  • Being responsible for the P&L in the region
  • Developing a detailed working knowledge of the FMV portfolio and to develop a reputation for expertise in wine
  • Representing FMV in the market place to embody the companies tenets of Quality, Service, Authority, Integrity and Constant Progress.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Proven ability to reach personal sales targets while providing a high quality service
  • Experience of wine (drinks) sales
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers
  • Experience of or a proven understanding of an ‘Agency’ business approach as opposed to a pure wholesale business
  • Well organised with attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to tasks using intuitive where possible
  • Strong IT capability
