Southern Comfort seasonal campaign goes back to its roots

A new marketing campaign for Southern Comfort centring on the spirit’s hometown of New Orleans is about to land in the UK.

In the run up to Christmas and building up to New Years Eve, The Spirit of New Orleans seasonal campaign will run across the UK’s on and off-trades, alongside cinema-based marketing and a team-up with Picture House cinemas across the UK.

Ads and posters will also appear on National Rail and the London Underground.

The campaign follows a shake-up of the American whisky liqueur brand earlier this year when a new bottle design was launched.

According to Amanda McLeod, Hi-Spirits marketing director, the new Southern Comfort campaign emphasises its southern roots and “connection with the colourful city of New Orleans for 140+ years, as well as spotlighting the new bottle and label design, dialling up the brand’s whiskey credentials.”
