New venue and new look for Wines from Spain annual London tasting

Published:  13 November, 2017

The sweeping London views from the Sky Garden at the sky-scraping ‘Walkie-Talkie’ building in The City will form the backdrop to this year’s Wines from Spain tasting, announcing a new look and fresh format for the popular annual tasting.

According to the organisers, the new venue will help “celebrate the vibrant diversity” of Spain’s modern wine scene, combining a trade and press tasting during the day, with an additional consumer element hosted by the Three Wine Men in the evening.

“We are very excited to bring a new format to the 2018 Wines from Spain Annual Tasting and create a platform which allows us to share the energy and innovation currently found in the wineries and vineyards of Spain,” said Marianne Rodriguez, Assistant Director at Wines from Spain.

She added that the consumer event with Three Wine Men, hosted by Harpers columnist Tim Atkin MW, along with Oz Clarke and Olly Smith, “would encourage all visitors to explore and experiment” with the dynamic Spanish category.

The Wines from Spain 2018 annual tasting will show 1,200 wines from over 300 Spanish producers, with emphasis on the evolution of Spain’s modern offer.

The event will take place from 9.30 to 17.30 on Tuesday 6 March 2018, marking the 29th Spanish trade fair in London.
