Rude Wines: Senior Content Writer

Published:  06 October, 2017

Rude Wines (part of the allpay Group of companies) is an online wine retailer established in 2013 to offer our customers a comprehensive range of extraordinary wines at honest prices. We champion small producers, off the beaten track finds and wines that you won’t find on supermarket shelves.

We are now recruiting for a Senior Content Writer to join our Marketing Team at our HQ in Ledbury.

This is a critical role, pivotal to the continued success and future growth of Rude Wines. We are looking for a wine lover who can write confidently about the product without resorting to unnecessary jargon, and who can convey Rude Wine’s passion for the wine we sell to our current and potential customers in a way that, like our wines, leaves them coming back for more.

As Senior Content Writer, some of your key duties will include:

  • Producing regular blog posts, articles and other outputs, using lively and informative content whilst paying heed to SEO techniques, to drive traffic to Rude Wines’ online portals.
  • Work closely with the wider Marketing department to maximise sales and increase brand positioning for both online and offline campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain the ‘Campaign & Content’ calendar to ensure Rude Wines’ potential exposure to new customers is fully utilised
  • Tailor content across both ‘traditional’ and ‘new’ media, and oversee Rude Wines’ Social Media presence to ensure our reputation is continuously developed and enhanced.
  • Support the ongoing development of both the Content Marketing Executive & Social Media Coordinator to help continuously improve Rude Wines’ expertise in this area.

You’ll demonstrate to us that you have:

  • WSET Diploma
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm and passion for quality Wine, the Wine Industry as a whole, and improving how the general public understand and perceive the importance of a quality bottle.
  • A proven track record of using communications activity to support and develop multiple brand and direct response campaigns, including using social media to create and engage online communities.
  • Experience of web-based platforms such as eCRM, web or e-commerce platforms.
  • Degree in relevant subject, or relevant experience in a similar role and environment

In return, Rude Wines offers a competitive salary, and a range of additional benefits, including 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, free on-site parking, staff discount scheme, as well as access to the subsidised gym with personal trainer (the gym is based at allpay’s Headquarters in Hereford).

If you can see yourself working for Rude Wines, we’d love to hear from you.

To Apply for this role send your CV and covering letter to hr@rudewines.co.uk
