Published:  01 August, 2017

Bordeaux oenophiles can now access all the latest news and training from the region via a new digital source.

Vin de Bordeaux’s École du Vin has launched new app, OenoBordeaux, which is available on all smartphones and desktops, to provide the latest news updates and training from the region.

École du Vin, which was started by the CIVB and joins together 250 Bordeaux wine tutors globally, launched the B2B app for with professionals working in wine sales and distribution.

Users can access thematic modules which can be tailored to individual needs including a bespoke training tool.

A ‘chatter platform’ also provides a community for users to interact with one another to share insights, statistics or opinions.

“OenoBordeaux is a fantastic learning and communication tool for the wine trade, which we believe will become an integral way of learning more about Bordeaux as a wine region,” said François Jumeau, marketing director at the CIVB.

“It is a reflection of Bordeaux’s forward-thinking approach to wine and wine education. We’re looking forward to developing the app further and delivering it in more languages and markets, making the Bordeaux wine trade a more global place to operate in.”

The app is free to download and is live in English, French and Chinese, with German and Japanese versions to follow in 2018.

CIVB represents nearly 6,600 Bordeaux producers and 300 négociants.

It set up the Bordeaux Wine School aka École du Vin in 1989 and promotes education of Bordeaux internationally.
