Published:  30 June, 2017

In case you missed some of the headlines this week on harpers.co.uk, we have put together a review of the top online news, Q&As, and opinion stories.

Top Stories: A mixture of emotions was felt this week.

On Tuesday, we held our second annual Think Indie, Drink Indie event, celebrating the leading lights driving up the quality of the UK’s independent merchant scene.

We also said heartfelt goodbyes to two former colleagues, who will sadly be missed by the trade and the team here at Harpers.

Analysis and Insights:
Different styles of Champagne have been on the market for decades. But whether or not consumers are responding to their messaging – or even know the different between a blanc de blancs and blanc de noirs – is another matter.

This week, we also looked at the ever persistent issue of staff churn

People and Opinion:
Before Vinexpo, Harpers caught up with the show’s chief executive to find out the trends and developments shaping this year’s content.

We also spoke to some of the world’s leading family-run businesses to ask what challenges are involved in running a winery with your loved ones.
