Chance to win Best Drinks Offer at Harpers Awards 2013

Restaurants, bars, pubs and hotels are all invited to enter the Best Drinks Offer of the Year category as part of the Harpers Awards 2013.

For the first time individual outlets can nominate themselves for the Best Drinks Offer of the Year, be it for a bar, a pub, a group, a restaurant or a hotel. These entries will then go forward to an academy panel of expert judges and be assessed against the outlets that they have also nominated in these relevant categories.

Judges will be looking for excellence across any outlet or group's drinks offer. This will include all alcoholic drinks but be primarily be focused around its wine and spirits offer. Entrants are asked to provide details of their drinks strategy, buying and pricing policy and provide examples of relevant drinks and wine lists.

The Best Drinks Offer of the Year categories are just one of a number of on-trade-relevant awards as part of the overall Harpers Awards programme. These also cover separate awards for independent wine merchants and a series of Industry Awards, which would also be relevant for on-trade operators.

The full list of on-trade categories also include:

? Best On-trade Personality of the Year
? Best Launch of the Year
? Best Front of House/Sommelier of the Year

These will be chosen by our academy panel of judges, made up of restaurant consultants, sommeliers, mixologists, Masters of Wine, critics, specialist on-trade writers and on-trade suppliers.

The relevant industry categories include:

? Best Overall Agent/Distributor of the Year (large)/(small)
? Responsible/Sustainable Retailer of the Year
? Engaging the Consumer Award
? Best New/Emerging Drinks Business of the Year
? Best Digital/Social Media Strategy of the Year

All awards entries must be in by March 12 and the awards ceremony will be held at London's Honourable Artillery Company on May 20.
