The number 1 premium beer in Germany is, at long last, being brought to the UK.

Krombacher has been brewed in Germany since 1803 and joined forces with United Drinks Inc Ltd to bring the pilsner to the UK market.

Krombacher, which is still a family owned company, use a Pilsner recipe, which is in accordance with the 1516 Purity Law.

The secret balance of ingredients has been handed down from generation to generation in the Schadeberg family.

The brewery in the small town of Krombach now employs 900 people to keep up with Germany's demand for its favourite beer.

But it's not just the local workforce who can take credit for the flavour - the local water is crucial as well!

Alongside the high-quality ingredients, the secret of the unique taste of Krombacher lies in the fresh, pure and low-mineral natural spring water it is brewed with.

Its natural, fresh and pure taste is derived from the natural spring water ("Felsquellwasser") from the Rothaar Mountains.

The brewery has an output of more than 5 million hectolitres and has kept the leading position in the German brewing industry for over 200 years.

Now they are bringing Krombacher Pilsner to the UK to give consumers a distinctive, smooth, clean tasting beer, which has been made using the purest ingredients and the traditional art of brewing.
