ZGM launches new products at LIWF

Published:  18 January, 2007

ZGM, the international wine producer, is launching a series of new brands at the London International Wine Fair at Stand G20, including new wines from France, Spain and Chile as well as a low-alcohol alternative which is set to establish a new category for consumers.

The new launches are part of ZGM's 4.8 million investment in the UK, following in-depth consumer research, which unveiled significant opportunities in the market.

ZGM will unveil a new French wine made from grapes indigenous to south-west France using traditional wine-making methods. This, together with its new Spanish wine, Los Vividores, will complement the recent launch of the Chilean wine range Vina Zamporia and Palatium, a new German Pinot Blanc (pictured).

Palatium is a quality German range which includes a delicious off-dry Pinot Blanc - a fresh wine with soft rounded flavours of peach and citrus fruit with a crisp finish, delivered in stylish, contemporary packaging. As part of the range, ZGM will also be launching a Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Blanc de Noir and Pinot Noir Rose at the Fair.

In addition, following an extensive research project which revealed that consumers are looking for a lighter alternative to wine to fit with a healthy lifestyle, ZGM is launching Entwine, a new range of lower alcohol premium wine-based drinks. Wine is blended with pure juices or sparkling water to produce a lighter alternative. The range includes a Premium Bucks Fizz, Raspberry and Cranberry Fizz, Elderflower Cooler, Shiraz Rose Spritzer and a Sauvignon Blanc Spritzer, presented in stylish packaging.

Managing Director ZGM UK, Steve Howard says: "We very much look forward to showcasing our new products from across the globe at the London International Wine Fair. A significant part of our 4.8 million investment in the UK market this year has been used to gain an in-depth understanding of the sector and consumer demand, so we believe that the trade will be excited to see what we have to offer.

"Our research has uncovered some interesting trends in the UK such as a renewed enthusiasm for German wine and the need for low alcohol alternatives, and our portfolio has been developed in response to this research and in conjunction with our customers.
