Co-op brings in new Californian wines

Published:  18 January, 2007

From April, the Co-op will sell on the Sacramento Trail California wine brand.

The range, which is being imported to the UK by World Wine Agencies (WWA), comprises a 2007 Chardonnay, a 2007 Zinfandel Ros and a 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, all with an expected retail price of 6.99.

WWA is also introducing Bliss Wines from Mendocino County, a range that includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Pinot Noir.

The wines are targeted at both the on- and off-trades, with a likely selling price of 8.99 in the independent off-trade.

The two ranges will be unveiled to the wine trade at the Wine Institute of California trade tasting in London on March 10, along with WWA's new range of wines from the Silverado Winery in the Napa Valley.
