Thornbury vintages

Published:  18 January, 2007

Thornbury at London Annual New Zealand Tasting 15 January 2008.

Thornbury launched in the UK in spring 2007, so 2008 will be the first time they have a table at this tasting. Thornbury matches the very best of New Zealand's wine regions with the best varieties to create wines that are distinctive and memorable. The image of the dancing piper that adorns each bottle of Thornbury wine is Dionysus, Greek God of Wine, celebrating living life to the full. It is in this spirit, that Thornbury was established in 1997 with the express intention of creating a selection of quality New Zealand wines to inspire wine lovers around the world. Thornbury believe there is space in the world for winemaking know-how to be matched with imagination and zeal to produce wines with flair and flavour.

Thornbury will be showing the 2007 vintages of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris from Marlborough, 2006 Chardonnay from Gisborne, 2005 Merlot from Hawkes Bay and 2006 Pinot Noir from Central Otago.
