UK supermarket to stock Penderyn

Sainsbury's supermarket chain is to stock Penderyn, the Welsh single malt whisky.

The whisky will be available in all all 192 Sainsbury's stores across the UK.

The move follows a successful trial in selected Sainsbury's stores in Wales.

Penderyn's managing director Stephen Davies said: "Sainsbury's has been a supporter of Penderyn, and as a result of strong sales in Wales they will be extending our reach throughout the UK.

"Penderyn is now more than a Welsh product. It has come a long way and we are confident that sales will exceed 80,000 bottles this year."
