Thierry's launches new brand from Corsica

Thierry's buying director Dominique Vrigneau worked together with the winemakers of Terra Vecchia to blend

the wines, which combine traditional Corsican varietals with more internationally recognised grapes.

Two wines will be available intially: Reserve Chardonnay/Vermentino as the white blend; and Reserve Merlot/

Nieluccio as the red.

Vrigneau commented: During my visits to Corsica I realised that there was real potential for these wines in the UK market, and as a company we are always on the look-out for new and exciting ways of broadening the consumers' horizons.'

The wines will retail at 4.99, and will be supported by a consumer PR campaign which will begin in the early autumn.
