Wines from Spain will this year be hosting its 27th annual trade fair at London's Tobacco Dock on Thursday, April 14.

The tasting will feature some 67 producers and importers of Spanish wines, together with a range of masterclasses and other features celebrating Spanish wine, food and culture throughout the day.

Altogether there will be over 1,300 wines from 69 DOs on show at the event, illustrating the full breadth and depth of contemporary winemaking in Spain.

Two feature tastings will be running all day.

The New Spanish Benchmarks will focus on the huge diversity that characterises the next generation of Spanish wine, from Galicia across to Andalucía and all points inbetween, fuelled by an increasingly innovative and adventurous approach to winemaking.

Indie & On-Trade 'Star Buys' will be a self-pour tasting showcasing the exhibitors' recommendations for the independent and on-trade sector, from entry level up to ultra-premium.

Among other events, Beltrán Domecq, president of the CRDO Jerez-Xérès-Sherry y Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda, will lead a masterclass on fine, rare and aged Sherry at 2pm, presenting a select range of unique age-certified Sherries.

That will be followed at 4pm with a masterclass in modern, innovative winemaking from Navarra. The masterclass will feature wines from eleven bodegas exploring the diverse winemaking philosophies and creativity behind both indigenous and international varietal wines in the region.

Visitors to the tasting will also have the opportunity to sample a lunch menu created especially for the event by Michelin-starred chef Nacho Manzano of Iberica's Spanish Kitchen.

Manzano will be serving a range of signature dishes alongside a selection of selected white, rosé and red wines.
