Gin Guild strengthens board of directors with two appointments

Published:  18 January, 2016

The Gin Guild has announced the appointment of two new members, Dr Anne Brock and Jim Long, to its board of directors.

Dr Anne Brock is the distiller at Bermondsey Distillery, which makes Jensen's Bermondsey Dry and Old Tom gins.

Jim Long is currently international corporate affairs manager at Britvic plc, but previously worked at Chivas Brothers.

Nicholas Cook, director general of The Gin Guild, said: "Anne and Jim have been closely involved with The Gin Guild since inception.

"Dr Anne Brock is from a boutique distillery, which helps to ensure that craft distilling is equally represented on the board.

"She is well respected by the broader gin community and brings her PHD science background to the mix.

"Anne's technical contributions to seminars, including The Gin Guild's one-day annual gin industry Ginposium event, have proved particularly popular.

"Jim Long was a member of the management committee at the time The Gin Guild was conceived, and as a result, is very familiar with how it operates and the objectives that we seek to deliver for our members.

"Jim brings his experience of major and historic distillers to the board alongside his PR skills."
