CIVB offers chance to win weekend with top Bordelaise winemakers

Published:  02 December, 2015

Six UK wine lovers are being offered the chance to spend a weekend with a leading Bordelaise winemaker and learn the tricks of the trade, thanks to the Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB).

The Experience Life As A Bordeaux Winemaker competition is being run on social media. To take part, entrants are invited to visit the competition website.

There, they can choose their favourite winemaker among the six involved, and then answer a few questions about their interests, what they would like to learn, and why they should be selected.

Entrants are then asked to share their submission on social media platforms and encourage friends and followers to vote for them.

Four of the winning entries will be selected solely on the number of votes they receive. The remaining two will be chosen by a CIVB jury based on the quality of the answers they gave on the website.

The deadline for entries is February 1, 2016.

Three of the winners will visit during spring. The others visits will take place during harvest.

The winemakers involved are: Thierry Lurton of Château de Camarsac & Histoire d'Hommes et de Terroirs; Julien Bonneau of Château Haut Grelot; Sarah Chassin of Château Lafon-Rochet; Laure de Lambert Compeyrot of Château Sigalas Rabaud; Dominique Guffond of Château Sèpe; and Sabine Silvestrini of Vignobles Silvestrini.
