Published:  10 November, 2015

Leading on-trade distributor, Matthew Clark, has won seven new premium accounts.

The new clients include Q Hotels, formerly supplied by Bibendum PLB, Conrad St James and the Hilton Bankside.

Romain Columbi, food and beverage director at The Conrad St James said: "The team at Matthew Clark has been able to get under the skin of our bar and restaurant and has helped bring our lists to life.

"Our account manager at Matthew Clark, James Smith, has helped us organise excellent wine trainings for our staff who now have some really exciting wines to work with.

"We've also been able to build a great drinks list for the bar with Matthew Clark's expertise; the team understood our brief and we now have a fantastic line up of spirits for our signature cocktails."

Simon Haywood, wine category manager at Matthew Clark, said: "It's been a really busy year at Matthew Clark but it has all been worth it with fantastic new account wins under our belt.

"I've witnessed our range of Wines of Distinction grow over the past few years and it's really great to be working alongside not only more top wineries but top premium on trade accounts too."

The other accounts new to Matthew Clark are Grand York, The Sanderson Hotel, Berners Tavern and M Restaurants.

Matthew Clark recently added 35 new premium Italian and Spanish wines to its list in response to growing demand from its clients.

The on-trade distributor was acquired by the off-trade-focused Conviviality Retail in a £200 million deal. Together, the two companies have a turnover of some £1.1 billion.
