Bodegas Tierra Hermosa launches sourcing venture

Published:  28 July, 2015

Andalucían wine producer Bodegas Tierra Hermosa is to launch a service sourcing Spanish wines for international importers, distributors and retailers.

The new subsidiary business, Tierra Hermosa - Vinos de España, will act as a buyer for clients, using its national network of producer contacts to source across Spain's many regions, styles and grape varieties.

The service is aimed at smaller business who may not have the breadth of contacts in Spain or the budget to fund buying trips.

Harry Hunt, the owner, said: "During the last five years, we have got to know many fellow producers and exporters across all of Spain. The country has so much to offer in vinous terms and we are excited about our ability to help importers find a suitable product given our extensive knowledge of the region."

Bodegas Tierra Hermos was founded in 2010 by British husband-and-wife team, Harry and Katie Hunt, as Spain's first negociant-style wine producer.

Its wines are currently distributed in Canada, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as the UK.
