Champagne & Fromage bistro and shop concept expands with third London site

Published:  22 July, 2015

Bistro and retail deli concept Champagne & Fromage has opened its third site in London.

The location in Greenwich joins Covent Garden which opened in 2011 and Brixton in 2013.

The business was founded by husband and wife team Stefano Frigerio and Maud Fierobe, along with cheese expert Frank Leblais, to specialise in fine cheeses, charcuterie and boutique Champagnes.

It lists 25 grower Champagnes, all sourced from the importer French Bubbles with by-the-glass prices starting at £9.

Its signature bottled Champagne is Pertois-Moriset Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut NV, which sells for £59 to drink in.

The venues feature a Champagne of the Week at an exclusive discounted price and all prices are halved for take-home sales.

They also serve cocktails including a Royal Mojito - a twist on the classic topped with Champagne.

The Greenwich outlet will run of monthly Champagne and cheese masterclasses from September.

A report by the Champagne house Lanson earlier this year showed a surge in Champagne sales in the on-trade.
