Gin brand Langley's No.8 teams up with events business for summer marketing

Published:  30 April, 2015

Gin brand Langley's No.8 is ramping up its summer activity after signing an exclusive gin partnerships with Gorilla Events.

The partnership will see the single distillation gin brand roll out gin and tonic bars at events including Badminton Horse Trials next month and the Chestertons Polo in the Park in London in early June. It is part of an ongoing investment into raising the profile of the gin brand in the UK.

Gorilla provides front-of-house management and event bars for venues, stately home, exhibition spaces and private sites.

Langley's No.8 co-founder Mark Dawkins, said this year was set to be an exciting one for the brand, which launched three years ago.

"The events we have partnered with throughout 2015 are completely in-line with the brand and how we have portrayed our gin since launch," he said. "Being the exclusive gin partner served across such prestigious events alongside our very own Gin & Tonic bar gives us the opportunity to really raise our consumer profile in the super-premium spirits market."

Langley's No.8 is owned by Devon-based drinks company Charter Brands and hand-made in small batches at the Langley distillery in the Black Country. The gin targets a sophisticated male audience and was developed by Charter Brands and Langley's team of distillers. It combines eight botanicals, and was named after the eight batch, the recipe selected from more than 50 batches made by the team.

The gin is available through a number of suppliers including Bibendum, Coe Vintners, and Speciality Drinks and is sold in independent retailers the Cambridge Wine Merchants, Uncorked, Independent Spirit and Harvey Nichols, among others. It is also stocked at restaurants including the Oxo Tower, Prism and The Wyndham Grand in Chelsea.
