Australian Vintage to release new sparkler

Published:  01 May, 2015

Australian Vintage will be rolling out its new release McGuigan Frizzante at this year's London Wine Fair in May.

The company said it had seen double digit growth in its sparkling wines in the last twelve months and the time was right for McGuigan Wines to create an Australian product in line with the rising demand.

Neil McGuigan said he was delighted with the new addition to the sparkling wines portfolio. "We wanted to create a high quality wine with an easy drinking style at the right price point, and the result of those efforts, McGuigan Frizzante, is a credit to our winemakers," he said.

The wine is launching into the Irish market first, with listings in Barry & Fitzwilliam, Tesco Ireland and one other multiple, and United Wineries in Northern Ireland (RRP: €15 euros and £7.99 for the UK).

In addition to its new Frizzante and its core McGuigan, Tempus Two and Nepenthe wines, the Australian brand will be showing new product developments at the LWF.  It is also set to host a BBQ on the Monday afternoon of LIWF for the second year in a row.

Julian Dyer, general manager Australian Vintage Ltd, UK & Europe said the company was thrilled to support and attend London Wine Fair. "Thinking ahead, we would like our BBQ to become a set fixture in people's diaries", he added.
