EPONYMOUS RANGE FROM THIERRY'S

Published:  23 July, 2008

Thierry's is launching a new wine range named after the company's founder and chairman, Thierry Cabanne, featuring wines from popular French appellations. Thierry's sales director Matthew Dickinson commented: We feel that in order to succeed, the brand has to offer a certain level of authenticity and heritage that can be missing in some brands that have taken the "New World" route. However, it also needs to have a direct and clear approach that traditional French wines often lack.' Priced between 4.99 and 6.99, the range is aimed at the mainstream' consumer, and will be unveiled at the France Under One Roof tasting at Lord's on 8 March. It consists of AOC wines from Muscadet, Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhne Valley. The Berkshire-based importer is also launching a new range with striking art deco packaging from Fitou's Mont Tauch co-operative. It features a Corbires at 4.99 and a Fitou at 5.99, with the name of the co-operative featured prominently. We want to make "Mont Tauch" itself a brand,' said a spokesperson.
