Beam Suntory names Rebecca Asseline as Courvoisier ambassador

Rebecca Asseline has been appointed the global brand ambassador for Courvoisier.

Rebecca Asseline has been appointed the global brand ambassador for Courvoisier, with particular focus on the UK, as well as EMEA markets.

"I am amongst the lucky people in the world whose work is also their passion. Being named the brand's global brand ambassador is a genuine privilege and I am excited to share this cognac's special story with the world," said Asseline.

Asseline will continue to focus on the UK where she has been the brand ambassador for Courvoisier since 2009.

"Rebecca has been instrumental in sharing the intricacies of this storied cognac in her role as Courvoisier's UK Brand Ambassador and we would like to congratulate her on the next phase of her career. Rebecca will continue to work with myself and our team to deliver UK objectives," said Chris Anderson, Maxxium UK's marketing controller for luxury brands.

Asseline will also be focusing on Europe, Middle East and Africa. Over the last 15 years Asseline has helped build the profile of Courvoisier in the UK making it the number one Cognac in the market. Courvoisier has been successful in high-end, luxury accounts particularly in London, which has led to the promotion for Asseline.

Asseline's career in drinks began in Nice, France where she worked in hospitality for various events companies that largely focused on spirit brands.Her projects included events, bar shows and food and drinks exhibitions, where she hosted tastings across spirits categories including whisky and gin. Additionally she worked at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes for the Cannes Film Festival.
