Justerini & Brooks has appointed Cellina Chan as its new head of sales in Hong Kong with a view to growing its international client base.

Chan replaces Marie Kim, who had been running the office since it officially opened in 2012. The Far East accounts for 40% of J&B's sales.

She will be responsible for running the Hong Kong office, managing the team and presenting the extensive list of 3,500 domaine, estate, and chateau-bottled wines to private clients and trade.

Chan will work closely with UK-based managing director Chadwick Delaney, who said: "Cellina understands the Justerini & Brooks culture and collector perfectly and we very much look forward to her joining our team. Her excellent knowledge of fine wine and well-established reputation in Hong Kong will be invaluable as we go from strength to strength in the region."

Chan said: "Justerini & Brooks is the definitive fine wine merchant - an outstanding portfolio, impeccable provenance, highest quality storage and close relationships with both producers and customers. I am proud to be given the opportunity to lead the business in Hong Kong, and look forward to developing both reputation and reach across Asia."

J&B was set up in 1749 and offers a wide range of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône, Loire and Champagne as well as Barolo and German Riesling estates. It started trading in Hong Kong in 1976, before opening its office there two years ago. It is owned by multinational drinks giant Diageo.
