South African producer, Lourensford Estate, is looking for a new UK distributor that can take over from the work it has done over the last nine years with Hatch Mansfield.

Following a strategic review both companies decided it was time to part ways with Lourensford Estate looking for a new partner by the end of 2014 when the partnership formally ends.

Patrick McGrath MW, managing director of Hatch Mansfield, said: "It is with great sadness that we will end our working relationship with Lourensford Estate at the end of this year. We have recently spent time re-evaluating our portfolio and in conjunction with the team at Lourensford, have made the mutual decision to go our separate ways.  Lourensford has been a great brand in our portfolio and I wish them all the very best for a fruitful future."

In return Koos Jordaan, chief executive of Lourensford Estate, said: "The team at Lourensford and myself have thoroughly enjoyed working with Hatch Mansfield over the years and good friendships were formed. We have taken part in a variety of events with them, and appreciate the way they helped in raising our profile in the UK. However, the market situation keeps on changing and it is best for both parties to move on. We are looking forward to an exciting future and a new direction for the Lourensford brand over the next few years."

Hatch Mansfield will continue to work with its other South African producer, Kleine Zalze.
