Ibiza Ice looks to crack the sparkling wine cocktail category

Ibiza Ice is the latest brand entry in to the growing sparkling wine cocktail category with the added selling point of having only a 5.5% abv.

It is being distributed by Babco through wholesalers around the country including Amathus, Filshill, HT & Co Drinks Ltd and Madison Drinks Company.

It comes in two varieties: White Isle and Sunset. White Isle is a blend of lychee, lime, and melon with sparkling wine, while Sunset combines fresh pomegranate and sparkling wine. , providing two premium, exotic cocktails to suit any mood.

It promises not only a 5.5% abv but almost half the calories of the average wine, Champagne, and flavoured cider.

Ibiza Ice is available to the trade at a wholesale price of  £15.99 for a 12 pack, or £1.33 per bottle. The RRP rests around £2.49 in retailers and £3.50 in bars.

It comes in a aluminium bottle designed to stay cool longer and will also be targeted at festivals and out door events and is being positioned as an alternative to glass bottles which are increasingly facing on-site bans across the UK.

Ibiza Ice said it was keen to tap in to the growing interest in non traditional alcoholic drinks in all categories and for fruitier, lighter styles.

It is being supported with a digital banner campaign at various sites around central London and is being targeted initially at exclusive nightclubs around London and the UK.
