?Wines of Argentina's Cambalache returns: tickets on sale tomorrow

Published:  26 March, 2014

Wines of Argentina's award-winning Cambalache Nights event is returning to London on April 30th and May 1st, with tickets going on sale tomorrow for £40 per person.

Last year's event, which was the first of its kind for the wine trade, had an urban- style themed street fair and sold out within 24 hours.

Camblache will be similar to last year with street food vendors serving traditional Argentinian food, Tango street dancing, several street graffiti artists and the outdoor area resembling the famous San Telmo Sunday market in Buenos Aires.

This year will also include a Fernet Branca stall, which will have a family member from the Branca family in attendance and a sensory wine experience with scientists from the Fat Duck restaurant where consumers can experience how senses may affect perceptions of wine.

Sponsors include British Airways, Quilmes and Fernet Branca.

There will be over 150 wines being poured, including wines from Viñalba, Argento, and Trivento. The ticket price includes all food and drinks.

Andrew Maidment, Europe and Asia manager for Wines of Argentina, said: "Based on the great response last year, I am really excited about this event.  It is not a typical wine event with white table clothes. It is quirky event, but to be honest it is something that I would like to go to."

Based on the popularity of last year's Cambalache, Wines of Argentina will be selling 850 tickets for the event over two days. The generic body will also run the event in New York and Buenos Aires.

Last year's event won "Most Immersive Event" category at the Field Marketing and Brand Expirence Awards beating brands including Electrolux, Phillips, Sky and Yorkshire Tea.

The event will be held at MC Motors in Dalston and tickets go on sale tomorrow at Wines of Argentina website and on thenudge.com.
