James McKenna to switch from Codorniu to Mentzendorff

Published:  30 October, 2013

James McKenna is to join Mentzendorff & Co as sales director in the new year.

McKenna is to move from his current role as sales director for Continental Europe at Grupo Codorniu SA where he has been since July 2011.

Menzendorff said it has recruited McKenna for his "wealth of European market knowledge, as well as experience of working with premium family-owned products which perfectly suits the
Mentzendorff portfolio of Champagnes, fine wines, fortified wines and spirits".

Andrew Hawes, Mentzendorff's managing director, added: "We greatly anticipate James' arrival, and the relevant market experience he will bring. I am confident that he
will skilfully lead the sales teams in continuing the strong progress in key sectors which are proving increasingly fertile areas of our business."

McKenna said of his new role: "I consider Mentzendorff to be part of the trade's elite and I am very pleased to be returning to the UK with them. I look forward to delivering further strategic
growth for this portfolio of prestigious brands, and I am excited to lead one of the industry's most respected commercial teams."
