Nola becomes first bar outside US to receive the Seal of the Sazerac

Published:  17 October, 2013

London's Nola has become the first bar outside of North America to receive the Seal of the Sazerac from the New Orleans Culinary Preservation Society.

The Seal is awarded to bars considered to serve the signature cocktail of the Big Easy at an incredibly high standard, while promoting the culture of the US city.

Dan Priseman, founding partner of Nola, said: "For us this is an unbelievable achievement. When we put the cocktail programme together it was important to us that we honour the rich history of cocktails from the city of New Orleans, so for the NOCCPS to recognise us as the first bar outside of North America to receive this honour is something that our whole team are very proud of."

The New Orleans Culinary Preservation Society is a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the city's cocktail culture around the world.
