BACARDI-MARTINI COMES FIFTH IN WORKPLACE STUDY

Bacardi-Martini has been named the fifth-best company to work for in a survey conducted by The Sunday Times. The company is one of just two to have made the top ten in every year of the survey's four-year history. Other top 100 companies include Glenmorangie (30), Majestic Wine Warehouses (63) and Coors Brewers (75). In the small firms list, Bibendum was ranked 7 and Cobra Beer 29. Companies were graded on criteria including leadership, personal growth and well-being. According to The Sunday Times, eight out of 10 Bacardi-Martini employees feel their managers care about them as individuals'; 79% of staff get support in learning new skills; 88% laugh a lot with their colleagues'; while 84% have confidence in their teammates' abilities. The company also provides health checks and chill-out rooms. The good feeling at Glenmorangie may have something to do with the dozen bottles of malt that each employee receives every year, while 84% of staff feel that they contribute to the overall success of the company. Some 81% of Bibendum staff say they love working for the company, and nine out of 10 areexcited' about where it is going. WSET training is provided, and it also donates wine to churches, as well as schools.
