McKinley Vintners appoints Jim Furze managing director

Published:  30 July, 2013

McKinley Vintners has announced a series of management changes, with Jim Furze appointed managing director, Peter McKinley chairman and Guy Nightingale sales director.

Furze has been in the drinks business for several decades, starting as joint founder of Hedley Wright in 1978, which went on to merge with Castle Growers in 1999 to form HwCg. His most recent role was as an adviser to Orion Wines, which is subsequently being added to McKinley Vinters' portfolio.

"Jim and I worked together many years ago and I was delighted to be able to persuade him to join us as managing director. He has all the strengths required to manage an agency company such as McKinley Vintners and I am sure he will do an excellent job," said owner Peter McKinley.

Furze said: "When Peter suggested I came to work with him again I was delighted to accept and look forward to working with the team."
