Vinopolis announces Bastille Day plans
Vinopolis has announced it will be celebrating Bastille Day this year with a series of tastings and events.
Plans are afoot for a French cheese and wine-matching event, La Fée Absinthe tasting led by George Rowley (pictured), a French Wine Labels Unravelled masterclass and Champagne tasting, which will take place alongside Borough Market's Bastille Festival.
The celebrations will take place between July 11-14, with the cheese and wine-matching masterclass on July 11 at 7pm (tickets priced at £50); La Fée Absinthe tasting on July 12 at 7pm (tickets priced at £45); and the French Wine Labels Unravelled masterclass on July 14 at 1pm (tickets priced at £40).
Aside from the special events, the Vinopolis wine-tasting experience will also get the Bastille Day treatment, with staff in fancy dress handing out free samples of French wine. Diners at the Cantina Vinopolis will also be able to choose from a special Bastille Day-inspired menu.
