French chef Claude Bosi and brother Cedric have brought forward the launch date of their second pub in south west London, the Malt House in Fulham, which is now open after a major refurbishment.

Situated in a quiet street in Fulham Broadway, the Malt House will serve modern British pub food, with a focus on seasonal ingredients, in an informal, friendly setting. The kitchen will be headed up by Marcus McGuinness, who is the former head chef at Claude Bosi's two Michelin-starred restaurant Hibiscus in Mayfair.

The philosophy will be to create simple flavourful dishes, and a menu that will change with the season and market availability, alongside McGuiness's own creativity. The menu will feature a selection of bar snacks and main dishes of meat and fish, such as short ribs of beef with pickled red cabbage and horseradish; as well as traditional favourites like rib-eye steak, shoulder of lamb and Sunday roast.

London based Alexander Waterworth Interiors has been contracted to ensure the 18th-century pub will retain its local pub feel with some major work to update its exterior space and the eight upstairs bedrooms.
