Published:  27 November, 2012

Michelin-starred restaurant Seven Park Place, part of the St James Hotel & Club in London, has appointed Marco Feraldi as head sommelier.

Feraldi has previously worked for a number of Michelin-starred restaurants including La Chapelle, Galvin at Windows and Gordon Ramsay's Maze. He also worked at Sicily's La Capinera.

He will be charged with keeping the wine cellar up to date, sourcing wines globally and training the team. He will also spend time front of house and working alongside head chef William Drabble to ensure the best food and wine pairings.

Feraldi said he was "confident" he can help "further cement the restaurant's excellent reputation of high-quality wine and cuisine within the London dining scene".

Henrik Muehle, managing director of the St James's Hotel & Club, added: "We are delighted to welcome Marco to the restaurant. His past experience as a sommelier and passion for wine will make him an invaluable member of the team."
