Published:  28 August, 2012

New additions to SITT Autumn include the Oregon Wine Board, which will showcase seven wineries, five of those seeking UK distribution, and two masterclasses focusing on Spanish and Romanian wines.

Evolution vs Revolution in Spanish Winemaking with Arthur O'Connor, director of winemaking at Grupo Codorníu, will take place at 1.15pm-2pm; and Uniquely Romania, presented by Caroline Gilby MW, will take place at 2.15pm-3pm.

The Oregon Wine Board will showcase seven wineries at the tasting: Adelsheim Vineyards, Chehalem Vineyards, Benton-Lane Cellars, Montinore Vineyards and Anne Amie Wines, which are all seeking UK distribution; and Johan Vineyards and Elk Cove Vineyards, which are newly placed on the market and seeking UK custom.

The wineries are all based in Oregon's Willamette Valley and will be showing a range of Pinot Noir and whites, including Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling and an Alsace-inspired blend.

SITT Autumn, incorporating the Boutique Wineries Tasting will take place on Monday September 24, from 10.30am-6pm, at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London WC2N 5BY.

The tasting will showcase a hand-picked selection of leading importers, agencies and wineries dedicated to serving the independent sector.
