Sommelier advice at touch of a button
Wine merchant Berry Bros & Rudd is launching a virtual sommerlier app in partnership with mobile phone manufacturer Vertu.
As a Vertu owner, direct access is given to an experienced team of fine wine advisors from Berry Bros, each offering a personal service, advice and assistance.
The app also includes an Identify a Bottle feature, where the Berry's team will indentify any photograph of a wine bottle label and reply with tasting notes, purchasing advice or alternatives which may be of interest.
Simon Staples, Berrys' sales and marketing director, described it as "the most intuitive and useful app out there".
"Not only can you view all the information on your favourite wines, vintages, producer profiles and wine ratings etc but you can seek advice from our wine experts 24-hours a day via the Vertu Concierge," he said.
